Take Inspiration From Hellen Keller

By: Ken Austin

I am inspired by Helen Keller, she was rendered deaf and blind in her childhood but learned to read, write and speak.  Helen went on to be an author and world famous speaker.  Helen Keller can act as an inspiration for us all.

Here are some quotes from Helen Keller.

"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us."
Helen Keller

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."
Helen Keller

"Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within."
Helen Keller

"The struggle of life is one of our greatest blessings. It makes us patient, sensitive, and Godlike. It teaches us that although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
Helen Keller

"To be blind is bad, but worse is to have eyes and not see."
Helen Keller

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."
Helen Keller

"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble."
Helen Keller

"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit."
Helen Keller

I highly recommend reading about Helen Keller's life story.  Next time you have any doubt in your ability to succeed, take inspiration from Helen Keller and never give up.
